This is bad news for those of us who love maple syrup, so keep your eyes posted on our site where I’ll post up some of the PSAs I cut for them earlier this month.  Look out for the Asian Long Horned beetle and be sure to let the USDA know if you spot one in your trees.

We are just wrapping up the post work for the Century Council’s latest rounds of Public Service Announcements featuring Misty May Treanor and the State Attorney Generals.  We had a blast filming Misty May! She was hilarious, despite the early morning talent call and the fact that the poor girl had to say the same text with each of the 25 AGs.  We’ll load up an example of the PSA to our WORK section soon. ]]> http://bornluckystudios.com/who-will-the-groundhog-see-this-year/feed/ 2009 is gonna shine… http://bornluckystudios.com/2009-is-gonna-shine/ http://bornluckystudios.com/2009-is-gonna-shine/#comments Thu, 08 Jan 2009 23:52:31 +0000 Emily http://chopshopstudios.com/2009-is-gonna-shine/ Happy Holidays everyone!  Welcome to the New Year! 2008 wrapped up in a flurry with projects for the Auto Alliance, The Century Council, Bright Idea, and our wedding!  In August, we got hitched.  In September and October, we edited for Bright Idea and the DSCC.  In November, we were sent to Los Angeles to document the Autoshow where we learned more about EcoDriving, photographed the Governator,  and met the lovely LaMamaNaturale of Recycleyourday.com (click here to see the article where she mentioned us).  In December, we finished up a large project for the Alliance and began work on a new one for their website (coming soon…).  We also made it up to NYC to celebrate the new year in style with Annie of Lula Prints.

2009 is gearing up to be an exciting year, one where we hope to film a few indie pictures in between some big projects for clients, sneak in a visit to Europe to meet baby Redding-Ryan, and turn Chop Shop GREEN! More on that later.

And here’s to you in this New Year!  Three Cheers!

We had the opportunity to chat with Dave McCurdy just before the Governor himself showed up for a personal tour of the new cars.  I must confess it was my first time being part of the paparazzi and what a blast! Having the body guards guide the ebb and flow of bodies scrambling to capture that one perfect shot.  It was exciting!  We also caught the unveiling of the new electric Mini and got a few great shots of the Volt. It was great being in sunny California, but after a few days I didn’t mind coming back to the 30 degree cloudy days of DC.
